A MORE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY

In a world full of uncertainties, it’s crucial to have a solid foundation to stand on. That foundation is found in the Scripture, the Word of God – a more sure word of prophecy.

  • When sharing in social media, consider posting a verse from the Scripture for certainty rather than uncertain teachings.
  • Only the Word can guarantee you the truth.
  • Even the Word of God can be twisted by others, so it’s essential to be vigilant.
  • As the end times approach, false preachers/teachers will arise.
  • It’s best to ask the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth.
  • Faith comes from the Word and is the evidence of things not seen.
  • In 2 Peter 1:16-21, Peter emphasizes the reliability of their witness regarding the power and appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ.
    • They were eyewitnesses to Jesus’ life and ministry.
    • They witnessed the transfiguration of Jesus on the Mount.
    • They heard God’s voice affirming Jesus as His Son.
  • Despite their experiences, Peter and others still faltered, highlighting the importance of relying on the Scripture, the more sure word of prophecy.
  • The Scripture shines in a dark world and provides stability.
  • Rumors of war and other uncertainties should be countered with declarations of faith rooted in the Word.
  • Pay attention to the Scripture, and the Holy Spirit will provide revelation.
  • The Scripture is not man-made; understanding it requires the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
  • The Holy Spirit reveals the Scriptures to believers.
  • As future judges with the Lord Jesus, it’s essential to weigh all evidence carefully.

I. EYEWITNESS ACCOUNTS:

  • Eyewitness accounts form strong evidence.
  • The reliability of the witnesses is affirmed despite skepticism.
  • The disciples’ willingness to die for their testimony speaks to its truth.

II. THE MORE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY:

  • Prophecies about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection were recorded centuries before His birth.
  • Numerous specific prophecies were fulfilled by Jesus, underscoring His identity as the Messiah.
  • Archeological finds corroborate biblical accounts.

III. YOUR VERDICT: Given the evidence presented in the Bible, do you believe Jesus is the Messiah? Your belief in Jesus as Lord, the Son of God, the Messiah, the Savior, and the coming King determines your destiny.

“This is about your destiny: 1 John 5:11-15 – ‘And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life and this life is in the Son and he that hath the Son hath life.'”

In this world full of uncertainties, choose to heed the more sure word of prophecy – the Scripture, the Word of God. And you will do well. Don’t go by feelings or experiences. Pay attention to the Scripture, for it speaks of Jesus Christ!
