BOOK OF ROMANS (PART 9) – REJOICING IN TRIALS

  • May trials ka ba ngayon? Madaling mag-rejoice when everything is fine. Mahirap mag-rejoice kapag may trials, but it is not impossible. It is doable by the grace of God.
  • Pwedeng magalak kahit may pagsubok sa buhay.
  • Kalooban ng Diyos, whether good days or bad days, that we rejoice.
  • Philippians 4:4 – Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice!
  • You can find joy even through trials.
  • Focus on the truth about Jesus and what He has done on the cross, and you can rejoice.
  • Every time we are doing that, we are walking by faith.
  • We choose to look to Jesus. Focus on the Lord, rejoice in the Lord.
  • Jesus said in John 16:33 – “In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
  • Always rejoice! Declare: “I have everything I need in Christ Jesus!”
  • You walk by sight when you are looking at your situation. But you walk by faith when you look at Jesus by hearing His Word.
  • Prayer should be faith-based – based on the finished work of Jesus.
  • Now, because we are justified, we glory in tribulations also. (Romans 5:3-5)
  • Declare: “Pinawalang-sala na ako ng Diyos!”
  • Glory can mean boast or rejoice or make joy.
  • We still are winners in Christ! We are set for eternity!
  • On this earth, the god of this world is Satan. Do your part – declare His Word! He has given you SPA.
In good times and in bad times, rejoice!
  • Jesus already made a way, He is the way. It’s always a win-win in Christ Jesus.
  • We are fighting the good fight of faith.
  • While you are going through trials, remember this is not God’s will for you. Hindi Niya kalooban ‘yan. God helps us and makes a way for us. God comforts us and makes us strong. He gives grace and peace in our weaknesses.
  • You can overcome and you will overcome!

In Times of Trials:

1. Rejoice!

  • Because you know the truth. God our Father so loved you. He is for you, not against you.

2. Rejoice of Glory!

  • Because the trial or tribulation worketh patience.
  • It results in patience. Then a chain reaction of good things – patience > experience > hope.
  • Declare: “Trials and tribulations, you are my servant. You are my employee. You work for me!”
  • Because while you are going through trials, God makes you stable and strong, established by His grace, His Word, and His own Spirit.
  • 1 Peter 5:8-11 – How to resist the devil? Stay in faith.
  • God does for us:
    1. Perfect or mature you
    2. Establish you
    3. Strengthen you
    4. Settle you
  • Establish means build you up.
  • Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. (Romans 8:35)
  • It is not the trials that make us strong, but the God of all grace with us.
  • God strengthens us and establishes us by His Word. That is why it is important to go to church to hear His Word.

It is God’s will, whether good days or bad days, that we rejoice.
Because we are justified, we glory in tribulations also.
We can find joy even through trials.
As we focus on the truth about Jesus and what He has done on the cross, we can rejoice:

  • Because we know the truth that God our Father so loved us.
  • He is for us, not against us.
  • Because the trial or tribulation worketh patience.
  • And while we are going through trials, God perfects or matures us, establishes us, strengthens us, and settles us.

In good times and in bad times, rejoice!
Rejoice in the Lord always! Again, rejoice!

  • Because “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
  • Rejoice in the Lord always, and again, rejoice!
