BOOK OF ROMANS (PART 8) – THE GLORIOUS RESULTS OF JUSTIFICATION

  • Been justified – means declared righteous forever. All sins paid up!
  • You owe God no debt, wala ka ng utang.
  • The message of justification must be very clear to every believer or else, mangingilag pa tayo sa Diyos.
  • Some believe na installment basis ang forgiveness of sins, but Jesus died once and for all.
  • Declare: “All my debts are paid up!”
  • Wala na tayong utang sa Diyos, lahat binayaran na ni Hesu-Kristo.
  • Declare: “I have been made justified. I am righteous forever!”

5 Glorious Results of Justification – Romans 5:1-2

1. Peace with God

  • How difficult it is when you don’t have peace – It is so stressful.
  • For example, may away/“war” sa bahay. And we know that war is destructive. We don’t want it in our homes.
  • So the peace that we received from God should be the same peace that we also give.
  • It allows us to reconcile. Blessed are the peacemakers.
  • James 3:16 – There’s confusion and every evil work kapag may strife.
  • One of our main priorities should be peace in the family when you know you have peace with God.
  • Declare: “I am at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
  • The war is over. Jesus paid the price. We have peace with God.
  • Before, God was portrayed as an angry God.
  • But for us, believers, we are resting in the arms of our loving Father.
  • He will never be against you. He will never be angry with you.
  • Instead of separation from God, now we are in union with God forever.

2. Access into Grace

  • By faith!
  • Diretso na kasi may access.
  • Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the only mediator between God and man. If you use other ways, you will not reach God.
  • Dati, inaccessible ang Diyos sa mga tao, He is out of reach.
  • But for us, we can come boldly to the throne of grace!
  • Israelites: They can’t even come close to Mt. Sinai. (Exodus 19:23)
  • We, believers, are for Mount Zion.
  • Hebrews 12:18-21 – No access with God.
  • Hebrews 12:22-23 – We belong to Mount Zion, the city of the living God (with access). It’s our general assembly, the church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven. Just men made perfect.
  • Just na, made perfect pa!
  • Blood of Abel – “I need justice!” Blood of Jesus – “Justified ka na!”
  • Pinawalang sala na tayo ng dugo ni Kristo Hesus.
  • Have confidence that we belong to Mount Zion, the city of God. Permanent resident ka na!
  • Be confident. Sigurado ng ligtas ka dahil sa dugo ni Kristo Hesus.
  • After He made us justified, hindi tayo ibinalik sa batas. Sa halip ay ipinailalim Niya tayo sa biyaya, we are now under grace.

3. Into His Grace

  • Grace is how God deals with our weaknesses.
  • Grace is how God loved us in our sinful nature.
  • Grace is God showing His love for us while we were yet His enemies.
  • Grace is His unconditional love that is not dependent on our behavior.
  • Grace is making us just and perfect in spite of ourselves.
  • As far as God is concerned, perfect ka na.
  • Grace is God putting an end to the Law through Jesus Christ.
  • Romans 10:4 – The law ended for us. Instead of putting us under law, we are now under grace.
  • Instead of under the law where God demands from you, God put us under grace where God supplies for you. More favor pa!
  • Grace makes us fully acceptable and worthy with His own worth.
  • Walang kahihiyan, lapit lang at hingi lang sa Panginoon.

4. We Stand in Grace

  • We are not made to bow and be a slave or a servant but to stand in the Father’s grace.
  • Be confident!
  • Ex. Parable of the Prodigal Son
    • You are not a servant but a child in the house of God.
    • Once a child of God, always a child of God!
    • Robe with long sleeves (means doesn’t need to work), wearing a ring, wearing shoes/sandals – Full restoration to each one of us! So have no fear!
    • Come to the Father. Don’t work your way, just rest in His loving arms.
    • Come boldly to the throne of grace and receive mercy and grace in times of need.

5. Rejoice in Hope of the Glory of God

  • Magalak ka maski may problema!
  • Rejoice – means joy again and again.

We have been justified by faith.
It means we are declared righteous forever.
Therefore, we have peace with God.
We are resting in the arms of our loving Father.
We have access into His grace.
We can come boldly to His throne!
We are into His grace.
Instead of under the law where God demands from us,
God put us under grace where God supplies for us.
We stand in grace.
We are children, not servants in the house of God.
We rejoice in hope of the glory of God!
Jesus is our hope of glory, our destiny!
We enjoy these glorious results of justification
all because we were justified by faith in Christ Jesus!

  • After the wardrobe change of the prodigal son, the father said, “Let’s celebrate!”
  • Fatted calf – the best! Hindi kambing for his son was lost but now he is alive.
  • Jesus is our hope of glory. Our destiny is Jesus.
  • God will never turn away Jesus, that’s why He will never turn you away.
  • As Jesus is, so are you to the Father.
  • We have access to Him, His grace, His loving arms just because you were justified by faith in Christ Jesus. Enjoy His grace!
  • The same grace and peace we received from the Father, bring it to your spouse and into your family.
