IMPARTATION OF THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

  • We are the Body of Christ. We can speak healing and the sick shall recover.
  • Romans 1:8-12:
    • Paul had not been to Rome, but he wanted to.
    • He wanted to impart some spiritual gift so that they may be established (strengthened).
    • We help each other, we minister to each other by our spiritual gifts.
  • God loves us so much, He gave us Jesus who is the best gift. But He also gave us the Holy Spirit.
  • Declare: “The Holy Spirit is in me.”
  • When we are baptized with the Holy Spirit, we receive gifts. These gifts are powerful.
  • This is the power of God, and we are the vessels.
  • But before you receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit, you must be a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • When we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, we became born again and received the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is already inside us. We received eternal life.
  • There cannot be a born-again experience without the Holy Spirit.
  • It is one thing to have the Holy Spirit in us, it is another thing to be immersed in or baptized in the Holy Spirit.
  • Baptize (baptizo) – immersed in the Holy Spirit – you receive power.
  • Demo: Drink water. Water is in me. But that is different from jumping in the pool. Nakalubog ka sa tubig. You are immersed (baptizo).
  • That is the effect God wants us to have when we get baptized. Pag nalubog ka sa tubig, lahat ng hawakan mo mababasa. Basang-basa ka so when you touch somebody and declare healing, healing happens because of the power of God.
  • You are a believer and Holy-Spirit empowered! You are dripping with the anointing of God and people will be set free.
  • People with depression will be relieved, will be comforted. Demons will flee. Sickness will be removed. Because the power of the Holy Spirit is upon you.
  • Hindi automatic ang power once you become a believer.
  • Example: Disciples – That is why Jesus asked the disciples, those who believed in Him, to wait on the promise. What Promise? Acts 1:4-5 The Promise of the Father.
    • Believer na sila pero maba-baptize pa sila. Iba ang baptism ni John at ng baptism of the Holy Spirit.
  • Galatians 3:14 – you receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
  • What is the promise of the Holy Spirit for? So you will have power.
  • We got born again – Infilling of the Holy Spirit. We received LIFE!
  • Baptism of the Holy Spirit – Outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We receive POWER!
  • What is this power? Mark 16:15-18:
    • We are authorized to preach the gospel.
    • Signs will follow – they will cast out demons; speak new tongues; take up serpents; deadly drink will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and the sick will recover.
  • Maraming nagkakasakit, if it breaks our heart, much more the heart of God. He hates sin and disease the same way.
  • On the cross, Jesus took our infirmities, paid for it. Bayad na! We have to declare it now!
  • God doesn’t want His children sick. He has given us the power to lay hands on the sick. Healing is for all, even the unbelievers.
  • By faith, we receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit – Acts 1:8.
  • The Holy Spirit upon us gives us the power to declare healing.
  • The first time the Holy Spirit fell upon people – Acts 2:1-4 (Pentecost).
    • Lahat tumanggap, no questions asked. Basta believer ni Jesus, they got filled with the Holy Spirit.
  • We actively speak as the Spirit gives us the utterance.
  • If not tongues, others will receive:
    • Gifts of Healings.
    • Gifts of Miracles.
    • Gifts of Wisdom.
    • Gifts of Knowledge.
    • Gifts of Faith.
    • Gifts of Prophecy.
    • Gifts of Tongues.
    • Gifts of Interpretation of Tongues.
    • Gifts of Discerning of Spirits.
  • This is the promise that Abraham and the other heroes of faith were waiting for but did not receive. But we are the ones, the New Covenant people, we are the ones to receive this. This is for us!
  • Hebrews 11:39-40 – God provided something better for us.
    1. First of all, know God wants you to receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
    2. Luke 11:10-13 – Ask and you will receive. God wants you to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. He is a good Father.
  • Just ask and you will receive. God wants you to receive. The anointing is powerful, it will affect your marriage, your family, being a husband and a wife. Ephesians 5:18-19 Be filled with the Holy Spirit, and it will be easy for you to submit to your husband, to obey your parents, to love your wife.
  • We need the Holy Spirit. Lahat ay makakatanggap. As believers of our Lord Jesus Christ, we already have the Holy Spirit in us. But God wants us to be baptized in the Holy Spirit to receive His empowerment through His gifts. These gifts are powerful. The Holy Spirit upon us gives us the power to declare healing and healing happens because of the power of God. So ask and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit! You are a believer, and you are Holy-Spirit empowered! You are dripping with the anointing of God. Act on it, release it, and people will be set free!
  • Tongues – you are in control. You can start and stop at your will.
  • The Holy Spirit will lead you but not force you or drive you (He is gentle).
  • It is the power of God that we allow to be released.
  • We are empowered to release it because there are a lot of people getting sick.
  • Just like Jesus who declared the words and laid hands on people.
  • We need to act on it.
  • Prayer to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit:
    • Lord Jesus, thank you for your gift, the Promise of the Holy Spirit. To empower me, to give me gifts: To speak in tongues, to heal, and to set people free from bondages. I receive the Promise right now. Thank you, Father God. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I believe, I receive, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
